The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, planning and leading marketing activities that drive sales. The manager will collaborate extensively with other areas in the development and execution of promotional campaigns, strategic plans, product launches, and cost saving initiatives while guiding the evolution of the MEDCO brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and implement marketing strategies for key customer segments that support company’s growth and profitability.
Interface with the Sales and Merchandising teams to create meaningful programs that are market relevant and channel specific. Coordinates with all functional areas to implement strategies on marketing programs and new product lines launches.
Enhance brand awareness within the digital space.
Maximize customer lifetime value by segmenting and optimizing our email campaigns (promotional and triggered).
Maintains a marketing calendar for the organization and communicates the key content to all functional departments to ensure successful implementation of all initiatives.
Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the president and leadership team.
Provide thought leadership in crafting and implementing customer strategies that maximize sales and profitability.
Manages programs for channel specific advertising materials. Manages Graphic team to ensure accurate and timely production of marketing materials and to initiate new channel specific advertising materials.
Oversees customer shows, events, and association programs to maximize our opportunity to drive incremental revenue through these contacts
Provides appropriate oral and written information to management and internal and external customers.
Interfaces (Internal and External)-Daily contact with Marketing, Purchasing, Category Management, Sales, and Senior Management in person and by phone and fax.
Frequent contact with Key Suppliers and Buying Groups, Customer Service, Accounting and other Company locations in person and by phone or fax to obtain and provide information.
Continuously enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through process improvements.
Manages people, processes, budgets, performance management, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job.
Observes and enforces all Company rules and safety practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements (Education and Experience):
5-7 years’ work experience in marketing & digital marketing with at least 2 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area preferred.
Prior experience in digital marketing preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills with ability to set direction and follow through with team members.
Experience hiring, managing, developing and leading a team of people who consistently hit their objectives preferred.
Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing campaigns and developing strategies to increase customer lifetime value is preferred.
Experience in project management, planning, and process improvement, as well as problem analysis and resolution experience at both a strategic and functional level is preferred.
