To introduce, solicit and grow Premium Guard’s heavy-duty product line to current and prospective PGI customers across North America. This entails leveraging your business relationships with decision makers in the heavy duty channel, promoting the Premium Guard name and brand, identifying and implementing growth opportunities, being educated on PGI’s product offering, performing product training classes and visiting customers’ customers to grow the category. Collaboration with PGI’s product group and other salespeople will be critical to the success of the program.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Utilizing your current network of key accounts, solicit PGI’s heavy duty products to prospective accounts in the heavy-duty aftermarket.
Strive to achieve approval of PGI’s heavy duty program from the heavy-duty program groups
Build or strengthen relationships with decision makers with current and prospective PGI customers
Work directly with existing PGI customers to introduce, gain and grow their heavy-duty filter business. This may entail collaborating with the PGI light duty sales team.
Have a thorough understanding of the heavy-duty filter business. This includes who supplies which accounts and what it will take for PGI to sell to each.
Attend various trade shows in support of PGI’s heavy duty program
Must be a motivated, self-starter and perform duties without daily supervision
Annually forecast sales revenue and associated expenses for each account
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
5-7 years sales experience in the North American heavy-duty aftermarket
Undergraduate college degree or equivalent experience preferred
Heavy duty parts, particularly HD related sales & customer service experience a plus
Must be willing and able to travel up-to 10 days per month
Solid understanding of the United States heavy duty aftermarket
Must have current network of relationships with decision makers in the heavy-duty channel
Must have the ability to build strong business relationships
Experience selling to traditional warehouses and/or major program distribution groups a plus
Requires exceptional attention to detail
Must deliver timely and accurate information
Telecommuting is allowed.
