The e-Commerce Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying eCommerce businesses and engaging them on behalf of The AAM Group and its member warehouses. A great candidate would be a self-starter that is confident in their ability to generate new business by finding and working outbound leads. They must be able to develop new business with eCommerce retailers within the competitive specialty automotive aftermarket. Ideally, they would have experience with eCommerce and be conversant about the SEMA industry. You will find business opportunities with eCommerce retailers, work with AAM member warehouses to establish fulfillment service agreements, and identify and meet the technology and data needs of those retailers through AAM’s services. This job requires the skills: of a detective to find business opportunities, a salesperson to create relationships and generate sales opportunities, and an ambassador to bring various parties and providers together for their mutual benefit.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Research and identify internet and marketplace sellers of aftermarket automotive accessories, finding business contact information.
Build and maintain complete records of account information and interaction histories in a customer relationship management database.
Interact with eCommerce and marketplace sellers, forging business relationships by which they will buy the products and services of AAM Group members.
Communicate with eCommerce and marketplace sellers to identify additional services and needs of their business.
Own relationships with accounts, maintaining communication and respond immediately to all inquiries immediately.
Interact with warehouse distributor sales and sales management personnel to build proposals and service offerings for marketplace sellers and retailers.
Collect data about the needs of marketplace and eCommerce sellers and collaborate with AAM’s management and development teams to develop resources and services meeting identified needs.
Work to build a community of marketplace sellers and retailers which identify as part of the AAM network.
Key to the success of this role will be his/her ability to effectively work as a third party to effective communicate (including active listening), influence and motivate people to act, and stay engaged so that all parties execute their roles. You will also work with AAM’s headquarters development team to identify needs for new services or technologies.

BA in marketing, business, or related business field,
1-5 years eCommerce sales experience,
Auto industry experience a plus,
