Founded in 1973, EGR Group a global manufacturer of Automotive Accessories that has had a strong presence in the North American Market since 1994.
Over that period, EGR has had a very strong OEM focus in its North American operations. In addition, EGR has a significant Aftermarket presence, and is seeking the right sales and marketing professional to augment our existing sales and strategic vision. With the development of its new, world class product, the EGR RollTrac, an Electric and Manual Aluminium Roll Cover, the Company has decided to increase its focus on Aftermarket sales and marketing initiatives. In addition to launching the Rolltrac, EGR will also focus on its existing range of ABS Fender Flares.
The Company intends to invest heavily in the promotion of the EGR Brand, the Rolltrac and Fender Flares products. Consequently, EGR is looking to employ a Vice President of Sales and Marketing to head up the promotion of these products into the Aftermarket with a significant focus also on Direct-to-Consumer sales.
An area of growth for EGR’s sales strategy in the Aftermarket is to sell directly to the Jobber network. It is therefore important that the successful applicant supports and promotes this strategy and has the ability to develop the infrastructure and planning aspects of growing this channel.
The position requires the successful applicant to be based in Ontario, California. There will be extensive travel required (subject to COVID 19 outbreaks and restrictions). This role will require a person who has had extensive experience in promoting products in the Aftermarket, the jobber network, and digital and social media to achieve results. The candidate will both manage team members and interface with marketing support personnel.

What you’ll do:
Responsible for all aspects of business relationship with assigned Automotive partners, including but not limited to:
- Identifying where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Managing sales teams and maintaining sales operations.
- Outlining and managing sales budgets.
- Setting quarterly and annual sales goals and motivating the sales teams to achieve their goals.
- Monitoring the market and competitor products and activities and providing detailed sales forecasting.
- Reviewing customer activity, anticipating consumer needs, and improving customer satisfaction.
- Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.
- Establishing and maintaining key customer relationships.
What you’ll need:
- BA / BS degree or equivalent experience; MBA degree preferred.
- 10+ years proven sales and account experience in Automotive Aftermarket industry.
- Travel is required. Flexibility of schedule and ability to travel
- Experience and seasoned leader with strong business judgment and ability to identify initiatives to improve profitability of account relationships.
- Proven leader and manager of teams.
- Good public speaking and presentation skills
- Effective interpersonal skills; ability to interact and work with staff / partners at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and command of relevant information
- Commitment to partner and customer service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
