The Field Sales Specialist is a remote, key position at AWE, critical to the continued growth of the brand within brick and mortar dealers, eCommerce dealers, and installers. The role is the face of the AWE brand in the field, taking on the primary responsibilities of developing and nurturing relationships, maintaining the dealer locator, establishing key dealers in major markets, providing WD & dealer training, and coordinating all of AWE’s sales and marketing events -- all while being a part of a winning team.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining the “Dealer Locator” program
• Developing a “Key Market” Dealer network, building upon AWE’s existing customer base
• Travel with, and train, Warehouse Distributors’ outside sales representatives 
• Product and brand training at customer locations, including marketing collateral inventory
• Supporting the Warehouse Distributor network with appropriate referrals  
• Handling immediate sales opportunities while establishing long-term relationships
• Prospecting and analyzing territories, and developing an efficient travel and store visit strategy
• Implementing AWE short-and long-range marketing plans
• Qualifying potential influencer-dealers and consumers at events
• Recommending sales aids, promotions, and services to AWE in-house marketing team
• Being the Voice Of The Customer: reporting back with marketplace intel and concerns, while forming solutions 
• Attending industry trade shows, consumer events, open houses, or other marketing events
• Recommending new products and product line extensions as heard from the field
• Developing and managing the AWE event program

Accountabilities

• Market & route planning 90 days out
• Managing a detailed store list using CRM
• Organizing and monitoring region progress using CRM
• Increasing AWE WD inventory turns with forecasting
• Establishing an efficient follow-up process documenting in CRM
• Reporting KPI’s
• Managing AWE Booth supplies and calendar of events
• Expense control

Success in this role looks like

• Achieving monthly KPI metrics
• Achieving 30, 60-, 90-, 180- and 365-day milestones
• Never running out of sales aids and branded marketing materials
• Ensuring AWE personnel, booths, booth vehicles, and booth supplies stay on target
• Keeping expenses inside budget

Job Requirements

• 4+ years of Aftermarket Automotive experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive company cars, potentially long distances
• Clean driving record: No minor violations within the last two (2) years, and no major violations in the last five (5) years.  
• Avid automotive enthusiast 
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with an upbeat selling style and energetic attitude
• Must be detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, a problem-solver, and have a strong desire to exceed sales objectives
• Travel Requirement: Ability to travel 50% - 75% of each month, including weekend travel as needed.
