Founded over forty years ago, Sherman-Pearson Company is a Manufacturer's Representative Agency with divisions that cover the Automotive market, the Medium and Heavy Duty markets, the Retail market, the Industrial market, and the Paint Body & Equipment Market.
We are currently seeking a person for the Kentucky and Southern Indiana territory. This position involves making calls to various businesses in the Automotive and Heavy Duty Aftermarket throughout the territory. The successful applicant will need their own reliable source of transportation, be able to manage their time effectively, and be able to increase sales for the manufacturers we represent. The applicant's goal will be to maintain and grow the current business in the territory by calling on the current customer base, working with their outside salespeople, working with factory personnel, and prospecting new customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Promote and sell the product lines represented in the territory.
Maintain communication with sales manager and factory personnel.
Use all tools available to provide timely customer service and follow up.
Attend factory training and industry shows, as required.
Pursue new line additions at current customers.
Submit required company paperwork and reports on time.
Applicant will need the following to be considered.
A valid driver’s license.
Previous outside sales experience.
Ability to maintain a work schedule conducive to achieving sales goals.
Daily travel and 4 to 8 overnight stays a month required.
